Quality Inn Columbus-East

I was skeptical due to some reviews but I enjoyed my stay here. Staff ensured a rather quick check in, my room was near the office, well cleaned and comfortable beds. Breakfast in the morning! All for $75, not seen a better deal in a while.

The staff was unprofessional, the heat in the room barely worked it was either 90 degrees or nothing, there were live roaches and roach bodies. The Television didn't work properly the entire weekend needing constant resetting by the staff . There were a lot of Transient activity on the property. The breakfast on both mornings was incomplete, cold AND VERY subpar for the money. I stay at Quality Inns in my home town because of the service and Jacuzzis. And have never been so disappointed. This experience will determine if a EVER use ANY Quality Inn I'm the future.

Positive: Room was essentially clean. Staff was friendly, more or less, and they really did the Halloween decorations very well. Negative: Room was mostly clean. Carpet needed replaced. Cigarette burn hole in the bedsheet. Lighting MUCH too dim - couldn't see to shave. Room switch next to door controlled an overhead light AND an outlet, making outlet unusable for CPAP.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a hotel and I've stayed in weekly's in Oakland. The room was so gross that 1 hour after check-in I was looking for another hotel to stay in and 2 hours after I was asking for my money back. They offered another room and I went to look at it, and while it was slightly cleaner, I was not ok staying there either. I just wanted out so I asked if they would just charge me like $20 to turn the room over and clean it and refund the rest. They ended up charging me 35 which is half the cost of the room for a night. I wasn't ok with that, but I wanted out so bad that I just said ok and left. The clerk was nice enough, but did gaslight me on the way out. He just dismissed my complaints about the room and said "I didn't see anything wrong. It is

The appearance of the location was a bit cheesy with all the Halloween decorations and the smell of cannabis was not a great first impression. The staff member was very nice however, and explained policies well. The room itself was very dusty and the towels and sheets were dirty. The remote was missing half the backside, but it did work thankfully. I also think that if you book a room for 4 people there should be enough towels for that many. Having to go back down tot the front desk when we just got to the room is frustrating. Bathroom was well remodeled, but the shower door was off the track. Breakfast was not sufficient at all. Had expired food, and very little to choose from.
