Quality Inn Amarillo East

I'm not sure about the hotel I'm just warning everybody if you try to reserve something in advance and something comes up if you don't provide so much documentation you're not going to get any money back none at all even if you pay for the protection! They literally want a doctor's note hospital bill a mechanic bill something like that. But say your grandkids throwing up for 20 hours straight and the trip got bumped by a day What do you do about that? Go pay urgent Care $500 so you can get a drs note to get $100 back on a motel? Does Quality inn really need the money this bad?No sympathy at all.Do not reserve from them if you're not ready to lose your money! I love the hotel the rooms are clean and the beds are very, very comfortable!! They also serve good fresh breakfast! The front desk was very friendly and welcoming! He even gave us fresh fruit for the road to go!! We will definitely be back and the rooms are very reasonably priced too!!

We booked a king bed and the first room was 2 queens. It reeked of mold and was disgusting. We went back to the front desk and got our room changed to a king. The lady at the front desk was complaining to my husband about how everyone else gets to go home and she has to do all the work. She said she's been here longer than everyone else and hasn't gotten a raise in years. Very unprofessional, think it's time for her to get another job where she'll be happier or retire. When we got to the room, I went to wash my face and the sink filled up and we couldn't get the water to drain. My husband fixed it and it drained but after he fixed the stopper, he ran the sink and puke came up which is apparently what is clogging the drain! We tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work either! S

Toilet didnt work...wouldn't flush...didn't notice until the middle of the night when we first used it. Very dated & old looking. Couch/sofa bed is not comfortable sitting at all! There were bottle caps and pieces of paper/wrappers in the floor...clearly missed by housekeeping. Towels smelled like bleach (good!) , but sheets were questionable...had several spots. Definitely wasn't a place we would ever go back to...nor recommend anyone staying at! Have had wonderful stays at choice hotels...this one will definitely make us reconsider staying at choice hotels in the future. Was a waste of money! Would have probably been just as well off staying in the car.

A room was large and very clean. The shower had the new pressures and the bed was comfortable. was as usual with waffle, iron and cereal and yogurt along with some orange juice and apple juice. Management very friendly and we were definitely stay here in the future.
