Quality Hotel Fallsview Cascade

The rooms were not great. More like motels. We found black ants in the bed. The switch in the bathroom was broken and exposed which was very risky. No telephones in the room which was quite surprising in today’s world. On top of all this the person at front desk who came the next day morning was unreasonably rude and when we requested for a brief extension in checkout time of just 30 mins instead of politely declining he was very rude while declining the request which was very disrespectful and felt as if we are unwelcome there. The night manager during our checkin though was polite and helpful. The lifts were also very outdated and bumpy with absolute no logic of which floor it goes. The corridors smelled of weeds though rooms are supposed to be smoke free. I will try to avoid staying her

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was found clean and tidy. Linens provided were of high quality. The breakfast was excellent and provided a great range of options. The location is definitely convenient for anyone wanting to be close to the Falls. Clearly the building is aging and I can appreciate maintenance can be a challenge. Items like a patio door which was very challenging to open/close with cloudy glass, and ongoing rumbles/bangs from the nearby elevator were the main detractions from a perfect score. It was also evident that sounds easily travel between rooms.

We had a very nice experience here. We are not the type of people who stay at five-star hotels. We’d rather save that money and make our travels go further. This hotel was the perfect fit for that. Budget friendly yet perfectly adequate in every way! No, it was not a five star hotel nor does it pretend to be in any shape or form but the rooms were nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast goes until 11, allowing you to both sleep in and eat in, not a common hotel practice!! And for the price we paid, you could not ask for better!! The location is amazing. You are a few minute walk from the falls. Hotel is old but we stayed in the tower part with nice view of the falls. The room was clean and very basic. Great location and free parking. Pool area was clean and nice with jetted hot tub. Breakfast wasn't the best but for a quick something it will do. Can't speak to the condition of the motel style rooms on the other part of the building. For the price and everything else considered I would stay here again.

Overall, it was an okay stay. The staff was excellent and very responsible. Someone hit my car in the hotel parking, and the receptionist immediately called and informed us, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was good with a nice variety — bread and butter, fresh waffles, muffins, coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, granola, fruits, toaster, and microwave available in the lobby. Coffee was available in the lobby throughout the day, and everything was self-serve, which was convenient. One major area that needs improvement is odor/cleanliness. The elevator and carpets had a strong smell, which was unpleasant. The AC/heater was very noisy, so we had to turn it off even though the temperature was low.
