My family and I came from a relaxing summer weekend and the only type of treatment we received was racism. I felt super uncomfortable with the environment here. Not only was our cabin outdated, far from the activities (20 MINUTES WALKING!!!) and the sheets and towels were dirty. To get into the pool and the beach you need to be with your card and I find this truly inconvenient because it restricted our freedom here especially Since we came with a big group. I have not felt satisfied with the time that my family and I haven't spent here. We have been treated differently from everyone else here. I thought this was going to be a great summer getaway for my cousins and I tried to give a chance to this place, apart from all the low reviews. But at the end I was disappointed and left with a sour
Beautiful view of the lake and we enjoyed the beach. The house was nice enough, and kitchen was well stocked with supplies, but it's definitely dated and could be cleaner (cobwebs on lights, dirty exterior, etc). I ended up scrubbing the handrail to the second floor as it was visibly dirty and slightly sticky to the touch. Also the air conditioning on the second floor didn't seem to work.
This place was old and in bad repair. If you, in any way, have issues with going up not-to-code, very steep and narrow stairs, go elsewhere. All the units have all bedrooms upstairs. The scenery is nice, but this is a place only for the young and those willing to stay in a fixer upper.
This is a very old-fashioned cabin with strict rules on how to manage the cabin while you're there such as keeping the temperature at 65 degrees and making sure you turn the lights off outside every night. The main issue for me was the lack of soap available (two thin bars per bathroom and nothing else) - if you wanted more, you'd have to purchase. They had great towels but if they got dirty, you had to drive down to the main area to get new ones. While this place was cozy (despite its creaky floors and tiny twin beds) I would imagine it's better to visit during the summer when it is easier to enjoy the outdoors.
Not the best. Not the worst. The property was not maintained adequately. It was dirty, in poor repair, and accommodations were out of date. 10 am checkout is unrealistic. Expecting the guest to clean and strip the place and threatening a 25$ fee if they don't is inappropriate (especially with the 10 am checkout). The landscape is beautiful. The hiking was gorgeous. I would not stay here again. I would consider it for 50 per night.
