It was a pretty cool hotel. I did like most of the decor however the second floor bar near the white sofas was very blah.. the bartender there was not very friendly and it felt like we were inconveniencing him by ordering a cocktail. When we asked him for a menu he handed me one that was caked in ketchup. He did not crack a smile once and just kept banging away as he made drinks. He did mention he was from NJ and he doesn’t not represent us well.On a bright side he made a good cocktail. Since that bar experience was not very welcoming we decided to try the rood. I had a much better experience there. There was a Hispanic bartender from the Bronx there that really changed the experience. The hotel room itself was not bad for the price point. My wife liked the cute decor. What we didn’t like

We had such a great night at the rooftop at the Public Hotel. Booking one of the rooftop igloos was definitely the right move and made the whole evening feel extra special. Our group ended up growing at the last minute, but the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They handled everything so smoothly. A huge thank you to Jaime for helping coordinate everything and making sure our larger group was taken care of. Also the food and drinks were amazing! They had so many options and everything we ordered from the menu was fantastic! Gabby, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. The service really stood out and made the experience even better! Overall it was such a fun night with incredible service, and we will absolutely be coming back.

Title: A Deeply Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the HypeAs a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Global Hospitality Management, I was hoping to end my program with a memorable graduation trip. Unfortunately, my experience at PUBLIC Hotel left me questioning whether I was simply unlucky—or if this hotel has been drastically overhyped by its social media presence. After a long flight with delays, I arrived at the hotel feeling exhausted. There was no staff at the entrance to assist or greet guests. Instead, I was left to figure out the self check-in process entirely on my own. What was most frustrating, however, was the lack of communication regarding my room: I had booked a suite that was actually two connecting rooms—one with a king bed and one with two doubles. Yet, no one informed me

PUBLIC is definitely one of those hotels that stand out to me design-wise. It was very chic and well-thought of when it came to every single detail. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They always made sure we were doing alright, especially Jaime and Leilani. I love how lively and "modern" it felt as soon as you entered, definitely adaptive to the times. I also stayed at the Igloos and it was warm and cozy. Definitely an experience, I had a great time.

Visited NYC for new years from Wisconsin. Decided to stay at PUBLIC due to the location and the photos online which looked amazing. I stayed on the 14th floor with an awesome view, house keeping came around multiple times per day so regardless of when I left my room was always clean when I returned. There was even ice and water right across the hall with access for free. On New years I visited the roof and the atmosphere was electric. Being able to freely move from the terrace back inside at will with great music and even better people. Met so many people from all over the world. There’s also a small restaurant downstairs with some quick food options. I believe there’s 5 total bars to choose from when you stay here all with a different aesthetic and atmosphere. I visited the second floor b
