Prentice Park City Campground

For camping, this place was decently vacant on a busy weekend in the off-season (middle of September). I camped here when I couldn't find what I needed in Washburn or Bayfield. And for tent camping, it was slightly better than a rustic place. The bathrooms are pretty good, and it's great that they have showers. But these free-when-you-camp-here showers give warm water, not hot. And they last 15 seconds. Like, you have to push the On button again every 13 or 14 seconds to get more water going. Very annoying. But maybe worse are the street lights. They stay on all night, and they affect all the campsites (the tent sites more so) with last blasting everywhere. You also have to walk a ways to get water (no spigots near the campsites). And no dish cleaning space is provided. Still, it's only $

Great place to tent camp. Always clean bathrooms and showers. Every time the campground hosts were extremely nice, including the people on the phone. 7/10/2023 I got a tent site. Prefect for tents, ground was smooth. 6/17/2022 camped (2 small tents) in the "overflow" area (upfront by the day area) 8/4/2017 camped (5 small tents) in the "overflow" area (upfront by the day area)

This is a nice city campground. We are actually in site #8, which is a non electric site on the RV loop. It's for trailers that don't need hookups. Overall, the campground is clean, chill and manicured. The bathrooms were very clean. I cannot comment on the water temp in the shower, but I've not heard anyone scream due to the temp! Also, the public bathrooms are locked overnight, but when you check in, the camp ghosts were quick to give us the code for the showers, and there is a toilet there. I've stayed in a number of city park campgrounds over the years, and this is really quite nice. Thanks for keeping it in great shape.

The camp is really nice. Clean. Quiet neighbor campers. Nice host. One block away from the flawless lake Superior and a nice lakeside town called Ashland WI. Where there Walmart, tractor supply, and O'Reilly within just a few miles. It's only 25 a night for the truck camper spot. The shower is nice and maintained. Some fool in an ATV drove through my campsite while I was at work but at least they didn't break or steal any of my stuff.

This campground is so nice. The sites were clean and easy to access. Each site had grass, a fire pit and a gravel area with a picnic table. The bathrooms were well maintained and way fancier than most campgrounds I've been to. For the price, this campground is well worth it. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
