Pod Times Square

Look, I went in with realistic expectations and Pod Times Square still managed to impress me in the ways that actually matter. The location is prime, the rooms are clean and modern, and for what you pay to sleep this close to everything in Manhattan, the value is genuinely hard to argue with. Rooms come with USB charging ports, laptop-sized safes, flat-screen TVs and rainfall showerheads, which is a solid lineup for a budget stay. The staff was friendly every time we interacted with them, check-in was smooth, and the whole building feels well-maintained. The one thing to go in knowing: the rooms are small. Just returned home from another POD visit - JAN 26. Again this is an outstanding place, I stand by this earlier review.||||Review from AUG 25 - The POD Hotel on 42nd st has now become one of my favorite places to stay in NYC. The location is perfect for theater and Midtown activites. Or just subway yourself to go elsewhere. But this hotel is affordable, clean, friendly and the design details are just prefect. I had a bunk room, took my grandson to NYC, we were very comfortable. Also nice to have an in suite bath of our own. Not all pod hotels offer that. This was a great location to be in proximity to time square and the train station. I stayed here with my son for a NYC college tour. The room we had was perfect for the two of us. It was the room with a bunk bed. The set up was perfect and just what was needed to lay our heads at night. The offer free walking tours and there was also a restaurant in the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.

No fridge is understandable but no hair dryer is unacceptable. The room is very functional i love it. The view the rack the hooks the bed. I had good sleep during my stay. No loud noise. If you could add hair dryer that would be awesome and fridge that is even more awesome.

Employees were very nice and knowledgeable at check line, and the concierge ordered us a ride to the airport within 10 minutes when we checked out ($90 USD to JFK) We requested more blankets at the front desk and they arrived with 15 minutes. They also have an option to store luggage before or after check in which was great. The location of this hotel was fantastic, only 10 to 15 minutes away from times square and a short 8 minute walk to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Since its located in Hells Kitchen, there was plenty of great restaurants nearby. The room was not good. Water pressure was very weak, I've stayed at campgrounds with better pressure. The bathroom door could not fully close, it kept sliding back open. That bathroom was very small and didn't come with handsoap or Kleenex. (Bod
