Pod 51

Hotel is in a convenient location. Rooms are clean and simple but functional. Kind of like a nicely appointed jail cell. Ess a bagel was good and just around the corner. Shared bathrooms were no problem and mostly clean except for some hair in shower drain one time. Elevators are TINY and have music 🎵 🎵. Also, there is music in the bathrooms. Staff was very courteous and responsive to our needs. I had been eating a banana and this employee took the peel from me to put it in the trash. Very kind dude. Great price, great location, would definitely stay here again. Really enjoyed having bunk beds which is rare in hotels.

Area felt so safe and was very close to multiple subway entrances. We were about 10 min away from all the major tourist areas including Times Square, Empire State Building, and Central Park. The hotel was very clean and modern; Noise does travel very easily from other rooms, and unfortunately, we had extremely noisy guests on our floor. However, after we expressed to the front staff, they were extremely helpful, assisted with the issue and even offered to change our room. We are extremely satisfied with our service we received from everyone. We're already planning our next trip and will be staying here again!

Its our second stay at the Pod51. The staff is definitly amazing and so is the location! This time we had another room thatbwas less comfortable because it was organized sobthat the bed was near the entrance and thentable and chair was in the other side and then its hard to be 2 in the pod. Also there was a lot of waterbrunning through the pipes. That was noisy. But the staff of the pod51 is a very serviceminded and nice staff

$530 for a Shared Bathroom Room on 2/14 – Completely Disproportionate I stayed at Pod 51 from February 10 to February 23 (13 nights in total). The room was a very small single pod with a shared bathroom — one of the most basic room categories in the hotel. I fully understood that it would be compact and simple, and I did not expect luxury. However, I was shocked to discover that for February 14 alone, I was charged $441.56 before taxes. After taxes and facility fees, that single night came to over $530. This was for a tiny room with no private bathroom, no upgrades, and very limited space. There was nothing about the room that would justify a rate at this level. Stayed here just 2 nights but it was really nice! Had a solo room with a queen size bed, just big enough for one. The shared bathrooms were plentiful, clean, and warm. Only a few minutes walk to the subway. Staff were efficient and friendly. Didn’t have a chance to check out the rooftop or cafe.
