Plattekill Mountain

This place is amazing! A true secret of the Catskills!! Everywhere you go in the main lodge and on the decks there are wood burning fire places and stoves which warm the heart and soul. The mountian has great runs for all levels and plenty of tree runs. As Plattekill Mt would say, they are a viciously independent mountian and the last operating family run ski mountian in the Catskills. You can feel the independence while you ride!!! All of the the runs are absolutly beautiful no matter which ones you take. This place is amazing, just don't tell anyone;)

Went here on President's Day and was pleasantly surprised to discover this Gem of a mountain! Super friendly staff, warm, cozy lodge with wood burning fireplace inside and out. Great groomed trails, snow, and wide variety of terrain. Had so much fun zooming up and down this mountain all day without waiting in any lines!

Where do I start? I’ve tried to ski on 6 different occasions. All terrible experiences. Until today. Sean, my instructor, absolutely changed my ski life. Made me feel comfortable, gave clear instructions, and all around is a great dude. I was also helped by random instructors in the lodge when I went to put on my gear, offering help when I didn’t even ask for it. Made me feel like it was going to be a good day out the gate. The lodge is also fantastic, really great food menu, wide selection of drinks. Just a great vibe all around. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Can’t wait to come back.

This is an awesome mountain with a family feel. The lodge is a great place to hang and it feels like your in an older vintage type bar which Is something I like. Been coming here for about 6 years and the only down side is it is getting more popular and seems to be a little to busy for the equipment they have causing longer lines.

Plattekill Mountain is a great family owned and operated ski resort. They have some good steeps, tree runs, and long winding cruisers. Mountain access is served by one triple and one double chair. Classic lodge with a great fireplace, cafeteria, n pro shop on the lower level. The bar is upstairs. I go there for the Standing Sideways Plattekill Takeover. A fundraising event for the Live Like Brent Foundation. Snowboards n snow skates only. Look forward to it every year.
