Pine Lodge Motel

I haven't stayed at the Pine Lodge for over a decade. The room or better yet rooms are to be desired. The staff did listen when things went wrong and tried there best to assist, but the preparation that didn't happen would have prevented most of these things. I will say the air conditioning unit did a great job. It worked well. I understand the place had "renovations" over the past few years. I did notice the facilities cameras, colored perimeter lights, and I believe the roof on a few of the buildings are new, but as you can see from my picture there's a new toilet seat in some of the rooms. Other than the toilet the previously mentioned "renovations" are more for the facility and not so much the guest. Unfortunately measurements for the toilet seat were not taken so this toilet seat is

We've all seen motels that were clean, fresh, pleasant, and nice. However, we've also seen ones that weren't. It could be a "chain" brand, or a "Mom and Pop" small town roadside property. The size of the property, the "brand", the age, none of them determines the quality and cleanliness of the room and its furnishings. What makes the difference is an attitude of excellence and pride in offering the best with what one has.||Sadly, this property fell short of those two qualities. There was an obvious dried nasty body-fluid stain on the bottom sheet, and water stains with mold on the box springs. This place sucks ! Me and my partner stayed for two nights. The wifi keeps going on and off , it's not consistent. The housekeeper did not replace the rags or towels we used at night the next day nor tidy up the room. They used two quilts to make up a bed and the bathroom was dirty. Do not book !

Seems really old inside. Bed was good, really firm. However sheets and towels aren't very clean. Has good water pressure. Newer flat screen TV but it's very small. Not really worth$48 IMO, but not many choices here.

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. I am here to work after a hurricane and this was the only room available. It smells horrible like rat pee and cigarettes. I found rat droppings on the counter. I am 4 hours from home and have nowhere else to stay. I would never stay here again and I would never recommend this place. If I ever come back down this way and this is the only room I will buy a tent and sleep in a parking lot somewhere. Do not ever stay here.
