I’ve stayed at several great RV sites while supporting outage work at one of the finest nuclear plants in the U.S.—a plant known for its southern charm, professionalism, and common-sense approach to procedure. Shady Pines RV Park stands out as my site of choice. Tucked just off US 1 north of Baxley, it’s quiet, peaceful, and conveniently close to the plant. The park offers everything a traveling professional needs—30A/50A hookups, clean water, onsite laundry, WiFi, and a pet-friendly atmosphere. This place is without a doubt the best RV park we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. It offers everything we needed, privacy, free laundry, fire ring, excellent WiFi, near town of Baxley, Ga and only 5-7 minutes to the plant( Hatch). Easy back in and nice level platform. And I can’t say enough about the kind, helpful and all around nice hosts. Give it a try if you’re in this area. You won’t be sorry. Daniel and Sherry Melchor

10/10 our go to spot now for the Plant Hatch outage. The owners Edwin and Windy were so kind and accommodating. The park is clean, spacious, and quiet. There was green space for our son to play and ride his bike away from the road. The on-site laundry room was such a blessing with a 2 year old. We look forward to our stay for the next outage.

Windy and Edwin are amazing RV Park owners. They are always willing to help in any way. The campground is very shady, big lot sizes, 30amp and 50amp hookups with sewer hook ups. This was our second time staying here and anytime we are in the area Shady Pines RV Park will be our home for that time. Thank you again Windy and Edwin for always going above and beyond for your guests.
