Pillar and Post Inn & Spa

I’ve been coming here since 2009, so this review is long overdue! This property has truly become one of my favourite go-to escapes. I was there two weeks ago with another couple and returned again this past weekend for a girls’ trip — and as always, it did not disappoint. The spa is consistently excellent, and I always make time to enjoy the hot springs and the saltwater outdoor pool (heated to a perfect 90 degrees). There’s something so relaxing about soaking outside, especially in the cooler months — it’s one of the highlights every single visit. The front desk team is always extremely pleasant and welcoming. Positive: Cleanliness, the locations was close to everything and the staff were all very friendly Negative: The hotel offered a Whiskey Tasting experience. Ended up staying at the Pillar and Post after our reservation at the Millcroft was cancelled. The purpose of the trip was to have a relaxing getaway with my sister who was visiting from Switzerland. We had a lovely time and made full use of the amenities, but the vibe of the hotel was much more lively and boisterous than we would have experienced at the Millcroft. The Pillar and Post seems like it caters more to large groups and families. The hot spring was very busy in the evening with large groups of drunk people.||We enjoyed the skating rink and the heated outdoor pool. We had a relaxed dinner in the Vintages Lounge (the fish and chips were delicious). Our room was comfortable and cozy with a fireplace. The spa was quieter and more relaxing in the morning.||I might come back to the Pill

I recently stayed at the Pillar and Post Vintage Hotel and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, the spa did not meet expectations, especially given the price point. I paid close to $300 for a massage and scalp massage, and it was not relaxing or worth the cost. There was very little pressure throughout the massage, and I was never once asked if the pressure was okay or adjusted to my preference. The scalp massage, which cost $113 for only 25 minutes, was particularly disappointing — I expected much more for that price. In addition, the outdoor hot spring experience was underwhelming, as there is only one outdoor hot spring available, which felt quite limited given the size and reputation of the spa. We had a private dinner at the pillar and post and it was fantastic! Ginno and Judy were the Wonderful staff working the event and they did an amazing job. There were many kids at our event and they were so good with the kids and handled the event so professionally. It was memorable and we will definitely be having future events here again. The decor and atmosphere for Christmas was beautiful! Our room was very cozy and comfortable. A wonderful time all around
