Petrified National Forest Campgrounds Private Land

We stayed in February,the weather was decent and the host was very quick to respond,gave excellent directions and we had a cozy amazing stay!

This is an AMAZING place to spend a night under the stars! We were traveling across country and tent camped here next to Petrified Forest NP. We booked through Hipcamp, and C.O.A. was super responsive and provided excellent directions that got us there quickly from I-40. The roads were easily passable. We HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for that high-desert seclusion and beauty. We’d absolutely stay here again given the opportunity!

We stayed during the summer,weather wasn’t too bad,beautiful night skies and the host was superb,they even offered a free night just for a review so overall we will be back. Plenty of space,open land for miles. Also visited Sedona which was only a 2 hours away.

Had to find a place to rest late at night, was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and responsive the host was. My car was on the low side, but was still able to get to the field. Thank you.

I stayed here for about a month in my motorhome, there’s plenty of space so you’re not super close to people/campers- if that’s your worry, you could see every star in the sky, it was just a very peaceful experience thank you to the hosts. We’ll see you again before the year is over. The pricing was fair and I got heavily discounted for a months stay so check them out ☮️
