Pestana South Beach Miami

I want to give this hotel at least 4-5 star but I cannot. Upon traveling to the hotel my friend went to check in for us an hour early and we were given the wrong room from what was purchased. I had purchased a room with 2 queen beds and my itinerary even said Superior double queen beds but the hotel gave us a room with 1 King bed and said I bought the King bed. I had explained this to them and the girl at the desk decided to argue with me for about 20-30 min. Now this is the day of check in which it could have gone wrong many ways with us having to figure it out. She then tried to sell us another room which why would I need to buy one. We stayed at this hotel prior to leaving on a cruise. We’re accustomed to five-star hotels as we enjoy luxury travel, however considering we had booked a cruise ‘package’ we had to go with one of the hotels that came with the package. We chose this one as it had decent reviews. ||Pros; it’s in a lovely location - not on the busy streets near the beach, but still within walking distance. Rooms were basic but the bed was comfortable and room a decent size. ||Cons; hotel seems a little ‘dated’ - like it could do with a refurb. No lifts (elevators) in our building. Walls were thin so we heard other guests coming and going. Small, little things that don’t usually go noticed - including a broken safe, shower door didn’t close, tv took two days to be reset, smell of sewage in the reception area.

We spent a leisure weekend in Miami Beach following a conference, and the Pestana South Beach took great care of us! It is a small cozy hotel on a side street, and the staff really go out of their way to bring a personal touch. Ruan at the front desk took great care of us throughout our stay, from handling our early check in, ensuring we were able to enjoy some of the hotel’s signature pasteis de nata tarts after missing out on them the first day, and allowing us to check out an hour late — everything was accommodated with ease and a smile. The lobby is pleasant and cool, with lots of seating and a tea and water station — we left for adventures every day with bottles of cold water and were also able to make some herbal tea each night to enjoy in our rooms. Positive: location to convention center was good., beds were comfortable Negative: Ad said it has elevators building i was in did not. Maid would take wash clothes everyday, but not replace them. i had to go to front desk every day to get wash cloths the bathroom door would not stay closed.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, with plenty of great spots nearby including restaurants, shops, and local attractions, which made everything very convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout the stay, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. The hotel itself is in a nice, quiet location, making it perfect for relaxing after a busy day. Overall, a very comfortable and pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-located, peaceful hotel with friendly service.
