Pendry San Diego

Important, but small, details missing. ||I have never written a review while still in the hotel room! Most of this stay was just fine - great location for the Food Show at the convention center. Nice staff, clean room. (Tiny bathroom vanity, whatever)||Desk phone doesn't work, but there is another, so ok. Checked in 5 days ago, informed the valet service that I needed the car to be charged while I was here, and it wasn't. Got the car pulled up to the hotel this evening - not charged, and it had a flat tire. Daily valet charges are $70- so $350 total. Husband is stuck on the way home without a charged car, and is hunting down a rapid charging station where he can also fill up the tire. Waited on the phone for 10 mins to talk to someone about the charging mistake before I hung up. Meanwhile

Here for a mastermind conference and met key note speakers. The food is surprisingly good for a hotel food. Rooms are gorgeous. Beds are comfy. Everything has an amazing walkability score. I was able to walk the Harbour and have lunch at one my favorite sea food places as well on the water. Definetly will be staying at pendrys again when I visit San Diego ♥️

I had a wonderful stay at the Pendry Hotel. The room was exceptionally clean, modern, and very comfortable, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere throughout my visit. One of the highlights was how quiet the environment was — I experienced no noise issues, which made the stay even more pleasant. The staff were incredibly polite, professional, and well-presented, providing excellent service from check-in to departure. The quality of the restaurant was outstanding; breakfast was delicious, and the drinks at Lionfish restaurant were truly amazing. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend the Pendry Hotel for anyone looking for a clean, stylish, and high-quality stay.

Pros: Great location: The hotel is in downtown San Diego, within walking distance of the aircraft carrier museum. There is also a baseball stadium nearby and plenty of bars in the area. Comfortable bed: The mattress has medium firmness—not too soft—and provides good support. Free car rental service: The hotel offers complimentary Cadillac rentals, though we didn’t use it since we had our own car. Cons: Expensive parking: The hotel only offers valet parking at $70 per night. There are self-parking options nearby for $30–40 per day, but we were worried about car break-ins, so we didn’t use them. Very poor soundproofing: We stayed on a lower floor and could clearly hear music from the street all night until around 2–3 a.m. The room was also near the elevator, and conversations in the hallway

The bartender dude used his fingers to put the fruit and chili spice on our drinks, I’m trying not to get sick again. If you want the purchasables in the room removed, they charge you a fee which is ridiculous. The staff are otherwise great and hardworking. The coffee you pay for with your Amenity Fee ends at 8am to prevent you from utilizing it. The shower gets warm but not hot.
