Pendry Baltimore

I attended what I expected to be a sophisticated, invitation-only event: an open-bar champagne tasting with food pairings, an informational session, and a social experience for approximately 120 guests. It was marketed as an upscale, 40+ Black professional gathering, held from 6:00–10:00 p.m., and hosted by a reputable distributor and event promoters. Everything was going well—until 9:00 p.m. An individual identifying himself as the “AV Director” abruptly entered the event, walked straight to the DJ booth, announced, “This event ends now,” and began unplugging lights and AV equipment—while the event was still in progress. First time staying at the Pendry in Baltimore. Every associate there is helpful, friendly, and professional. You are always greeted with a smile. |We had a king size bed with a small terrace too. Bathroom and closet space were large.||We ate in the Chop House and the food , ambience was outstanding.||The location is excellent. Plenty of walkable restaurants and taverns to visit.||We will be returning there!

During my stay at the Pendry Baltimore on December 28, 2025, I was bitten by bed bugs and experienced a visible skin reaction on my neck. At approximately 1:30 a.m., I went to the front desk to report that I had been bitten while sleeping in my room. The front desk associate offered to switch my room; however, I expressed that I would feel more comfortable checking out at that time. I then inquired about possible compensation and was advised that this could not be addressed until speaking with a manager, who would not be onsite until 7:00 a.m. Given the circumstances, I agreed to switch rooms, though I was unable to sleep due to concern and discomfort. Beautiful property and hotel. Everything from the lobby/dining room, courtyard, to and especially the bar. Staff is plentiful and willing to help with anything. I only had breakfast/cocktails. As one would expect, they are expensive but unlike most nice hotels they are actually delicious and in most ways felt it was worth the premium. Rooms were gorgeous...a bit small relative to the price and compared to their competitor down the street. But this was more than made up for by unbeatable location within the city, and also literally on the water. I had a first floor room which feels very exposed to the harbor (in both good and bad) but I am pretty sure the privacy shade worked entirely but you definitely feel a bit exposed. This was our second time having boozy tea at the Pendry. First and foremost, it is such a fun and unique experience. What makes it even better and will keep us coming back is how passionate the staff is about the teas and bites they have created for you. Maddie was very accommodating and Tyler was so enthusiastic about each cup of tea he poured for us. It truly made our anniversary special. Would highly recommend for any special occasion or even just to liven up a Baltimore weekend.
