Pena Blanca Lake

This is an amazing, quiet lake to either have a picnic at or do one of the multiple hikes from. The trail on the west side of the lake is beautiful with great views of the surrounding mountains, the lake, numerous birds, and ends at the dam on the northern end of the lake. There is also a trail to go around the southern part of the lake and along the eastern shoreline and is a little less hilly. Great hiking area

A fun lake to fish, can be a hassle to get here from Tucson Always check to see if the lake is open before you head down its a big lake, lots of places to find fish hiking is fun too

It’s a cute little lake and a nice quiet fishing spot.

Went hiking here and really enjoyed it! The lake and fishing was beautiful and quiet. The hiking trail was very wide, with rolling hills and overall mild or moderate incline. Just a couple spots of some looser rock. The thing to be aware of is there is really no shade on this trail. There are also no restrooms at the trail head that I’m aware of.
