I gave 5 stars really had no issues every person i ran into greeted us an was friendly. There was plenty of parking for an extra car. You can tell there is lots of construction which is fine there was just machinery and parts there was nothing going at the time of our stay. It does look a bit run down and even scary to some but let me assure you no one gave us any trouble. It really gave that feel of true living in the keys. We really were just wanting a place to hook up and sleep. A resort was not what we were looking for an Pelican Cay was a perfect match for us. They provided a place to park our RV hook up for couple nights and be on our way. Hands down the quietest place we have camped! We heard nothing but pure silence. My girlfriend and I stayed here in March of 2013,When we pulled up and saw a hippie lady with a beer and fanny pack, we asked were the office was and she said "Right here"!!! The owner at the time Susanna (the hippie lady) rocked!!! She was eccentric and quirky but totally kind and cool to us We camped in a tent next to the houseboats and had neighbors from Georgia who also had a tent and our Hawaiian neighbors (Jamie and Johnny) who had an RV. . We got electricity and water with our site for $35 a night, The place has real character and we loved every minute we spend there!!!||Definitely a no frills environment,space could be tight but we were happy with our site,the shower (only one but it was large enough for a couple) was hot and was with good water pressure and the 2 bathrooms were c

Had a one nights experience which lasted only 1 hour. This place is a dump and encourage anyone to stay away. Looked like a junk yard and very tight quarters. We had booked a two-week stay and quickly advised them that we could not stay in this place. No refund has been forthcoming. Please research this place thoroughly before booking. Our stay ended when the neighbors came home and turned up the music and then harassed us saying "oh don't like music". Felt very uncomfortable. This is not a campground, this is a ghetto - don't go there.

Got there late but Beau helped us park. He was a great help after a long drive and being tired. We had a great vacation and would go back and hopefully soon. Under new management and they are very kind and helpful. Place is clean, Priced right and lots of fun people staying there.

Where to start is the question. It was quiet at night. The place is a dump. Our campsite was along side of their driveway. 6 feet on one side was the bay with a boat in it that should of been scraped and the other side was the driveway. We could not even put anything out to sit on. I grilled one night and was told to put my grill away that night because it might not be there in the morning. It was cheap but for a reason. My advice is to move on.
