Pehrson Lodge Resort on Lake Vermilion

I stayed at this resort/lodge for six months for work, and my experience was nothing short of amazing. The entire property was kept incredibly clean throughout my stay — you can tell the staff takes real pride in maintaining the space. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming, kind, and genuinely helpful, which made it feel more like a home than just a place to stay. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-kept, and friendly environment, I highly recommend this lodge. My time here was truly enjoyable, and I’m grateful for the wonderful hospitality.

Pehrson’s is a beautiful resort on Lake Vermillion. I was there for a week long family gathering where we rented eleven of the cabins. The staff was very helpful. The lodge was large and lovely with puzzles, games, pingpong and tables we used for playing cards. There were free kayaks, water bikes, canoes, etc for use. There was a pickle ball court, although it ran dangerously downhill in one corner. Nicely maintained hiking trails ran through the woods along one side of the resort. The cabins I saw seemed nicely remodeled, all knotty pine. My kitchen had a dishwasher and most of the utensils and equipment you might need. I learned that other items like crockpots could be gotten at the lodge.|Two free loads of firewood were provided each day. Garbage was picked up each day too.|Some of the

The best experience around. We drive nine hours from Eastern Iowa to come back here to the area we grew up. This is our 7th stay over the last nine years. The cabins are great. The owners and staff are wonderful.

This was our second year at Pehrson’s and it was fantastic once again! Cabins were super clean and comfortable, the resort and lakeshore are well maintained and walkable. I think what I love the most is how easy things are—accessing all types of activities and watercraft, reasonably priced store for guests, firewood, kid friendly, dog friendly—truly a hassle free vacation in a beautiful place.

Cabin was beautiful! Right on the waterfront. The cabin had all of the essentials for cooking, bathing and sleeping. Easy to find and everyone that works at the Lodge were very helpful and friendly. The peace and tranquility was very enjoyable. My husband and I rented a fishing pontoon and fished for hours. We are older and our kids are grown now but the beach and activities for all looked very accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank You Pehrsons Lodge and Resort for everything The Burkes
