Park Vista Motor Lodge & Diner

It's an old motel, dinner and general store that has been remodeled and looks absolutely adorable. It's right by an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can learn about the history of the place while you enjoy some old time soda and snacks, grab something you may have forgotten for a hike,eat a delicious meal or stay at their very cute motel. Nice fireplace, outdoor seating and darts. We live in the area and didn't stay at the motel but it does look nice.

Nestled in a sweet little spot off the Blue Ridge Pkwy, Park Vista is a quaint personable place to stay that you don’t want to bypass. The rooms are clean and so comfortable and the staff (esp Sommer) at both the lodge and diner were welcoming and friendly. If we find ourselves back in the area Park Vista will definitely be our go too. Great job!

We came here with our youth group of 17 kids and chaperones. The rooms very modern and well furnished. The diner at the bottom of this hill was very accommodating and delicious. We were less than 30 minutes from the ski resort and from Boone. Perfect scenery. We had a good trip and plan to come again!

What a cool place! It's clear the owners have been completely overhauling the buildings and are doing a great job updating while keeping the 1960s vibe. Clean, simple and comfortable. Meeting their Aunt (running the general store) and the entire diner staff was great fun -- they obviously love where they work. Food was delicious!

We stumbled upon this hidden gem while trying to find somewhere for 15 bikers to stay during peak fall season in the western North Carolina mountains. The rooms were beautiful and newly renovated. The diner, which is on site, had some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The general store, which is also on site, Is a beautiful piece of history to explore and enjoy while at Park Vista Motor Lodge. The cherry on top was Sommer Ray and her husband, which are the new owners. They are young, energetic, charismatic, fun, and so very hospitable. We had a great night sitting around the fire, drinking amazing local brews, sipping on signature cocktails, and sharing lots of good laughs with these two precious people. This was exactly what a bunch of old, tired bikers needed after traveling 400 miles. W
