Park Lane Motel

Pros: We were able to check in early and the staff was great letting us do that. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy. Very nice view of the water. Cons: The Saturday night we stayed there was a party going on late into the night. Rather than a quiet time being enforced and respected, it took one of the guests to tell the group to turn off their music at 11.30pm. The group was up until at least 3am. We weren't able to use the pool on Sunday due to the heater being broken although the pool was used the previous evening. We weren't able to use the grills on the same day. All of the propane tanks were taken off. When we asked the staff about it, the person working the counter had to text somebody and find out. We gave up after 30 minutes of waiting for an answer. This motel could easily be rated 3 or 4 stars with a little attention to details. It has an excellent location on the lake with only a two or three block walk to the center of town. The outside has been updated with new paint and outdoor furniture. Lack of security is a big issue. New electronic locks have been added to all the rooms. It is the only hotel or motel I have ever been in where the doors do not lock when they are closed. The only locks are deadbolts which require you to turn the lock on the inside or press a lock button on the outside. There is no warning on the doors or at the front desk to tell you this, so I suspect many times rooms are inadvertently left in locked. Rooms have large sliding glass windows. Ours had no locks! Did not have a positive experience here on our family vacation, one of our 3 rooms had a terrible smell and we could not use it. We were fortunate we found another at a nearby motel, as they had no more rooms available. Then, our car was hit in the parking lot overnight with no one claiming responsibility. We asked the owner to review the security cameras to help identify who did it, and he agreed, but then ghosted us and never called us nor answered our calls. Would never stay here again.

We only stayed 1 night but wished that we could have stayed longer. This motel is in the Village, walking distance to everything. The room was decent and it seemed very clean. We had a room on the top floor with a view of the lake, and it was a fantastic view. There is a big patio overlooking the lake with several tables and chairs, and there are a couple of tabletop fire pits and some bbq grills. There is a very small beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a roped off area to wade into (it's too shallow to actually swim in unless you're a very small child), and a small dock that you can walk out onto or sit on to get a better view further out into the lake. There are a few kayaks and paddle boards on the beach that you could borrow. There's also a small playground for young children.

Prime location for Canada st LG. Great property for a great price during the last weekend of October. The lake views and beach area were super relaxing and beautiful to hang out next to. Will be coming back if we are in the area.
