Paramount Times Square - A Generator Hotel

I admit I was quite hesitant about staying at the Paramount Hotel in Times Square because of the reviews and many people saying how it isn't safe to stay in the area. But I'm genuinely happy I did anyway and would 10000% stay in this hotel again. The location is PERFECT. Literally one minute up the road and you're already in the heart of Times Square with so many places to eat, shop and there's also a 7-Eleven around the corner for anything you might need. We were booked in for 5 nights initially but we ended up staying an additional 2 nights because our flight was cancelled. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Staff very friendly. Nice reception area with bar and music. I read some terrible reviews on line after booking and was worried but this hotel is in a great location I had plenty of hot water, the lifts were speedy other than at 11am (which is normal check out chaos) the room was nice. Yes it is an older building but you are right in Times Square. Maybe pack earplugs for street noise but I do this anyway :)

The location is great. You are right by the heart of time square and we were going to see Hamilton. It was directly across the street! There are plenty of restaurants and it’s easy to location. The problem with the hotel are the rooms. The lobby is deceiving, as it looks like it will be an upscale experience but I was truly mistaken. When we first checked in, we went to our Standard size room. The bed was tiny. Literally like a twin XL. And the room is incredibly bare. The door also did not open or close properly. We went back to the front desk to request a different room preferably something with another bed, since they do not offer cots. She was unable to give us a twin room but was able to get us a bunk bed room. When we went to that room I thought it couldn’t get worse. I was mistaken.

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) took a trip to New York during the Christmas Season. We were excited to find a room with 4 beds and we were looking forward to a wonderful trip. DO NOT STAY HERE! The room was disgusting and dirty. There was trash left under one of the beds that was left from the previous guests. The bathroom was gross- peeling tub paint, broken drain, and just plain dirty. The carpet in the room was dirty- I didn't want to take my shoes off. The window was dirty and there was construction happening all day/night across the street. There was no ventilation in the room at all- we woke up to steamy windows and blankets each morning. Disappointing stay for a group of four - NOT worth it stayed at the Paramount Times Square - A Generator Hotel from February 4th to 8th, 2026 with three other people, and honestly, it was a letdown. Let me tell you what really happened. First, the only good thing: the location is right in Times Square and the lobby looks nice. That's where the positives end. We were four people in the room, but the hotel clearly doesn't care about groups. They only gave us two breakfast vouchers per day for the cafe downstairs. So two of us had to pay extra or go hungry every morning. That's ridiculous when you book for four. The bathroom was dirty when we arrived. Not acceptable at all.
