Padre Oaks Inn

Stayed 3 nights at Padre Oaks and was genuinely sad to leave. I felt very safe and at home here — rooms were clean and we were treated well by this family-owned business. Would come back here traveling solo and surely feel the same way. Everything worked and staff were hospitable and approachable. Left valuables in the room which were totally untouched by housekeeping— who do a great job cleaning around our belongings and providing fresh towels and linens. No notes— and can’t beat the price !!!!!

A basic room, nothing special. The coffee supplies were partially used, wrappers left on the table. Could be cleaner overall. Rates high the weekend I stayed, due to local events. For the condition of the location and the amount paid, my rating is thus.

Padre Oaks is a cozy, budget-friendly spot with a great location — just a short drive to Cannery Row and other Monterey highlights.The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and parking was easy. It's not fancy, but it has everything you need for a relaxing stop on a road trip.Would definitely stay here again if we're back in the area!

Spent 6 nights here over Christmas using this place as a jumping off point for hiking and biking. A fantastic value for money. Good clean basic rooms. Location is great - not an ocean view or scenic spot (traffic from the main road can be a pain) but close to the Del Monte Mall and all it has to offer including dining spots. Easy highway access and north of all the downtown Monterey attractions (20 min walk). Parking is free but limited at the hotel. Basic services - good working Internet. Can't ask for much more with the price paid!

Room looks clean. Still I always wipe with lysol. Some dirty areas. Overall nice place, bed was comfy. They gave me a handicapped room, didn't ask for it, walk in shower. Will be here for a week, will be updating.
