Paddler's Rest Lakefront Cabins and Motel

Though the lake is pretty, w/ small private beach, our 'cabin' was a room above a garage/storage area. Might be a nice stay if you had a charming cabin and took full advantage of canoes and the limited firepits. But our bed was uncomfortable and heating system was archaic, with no thermostat, so we were up all night adjusting/opening doors, etc. We left a night early and asked for a partial refund but got no response. We realize a place like this needs to make most of its money over the summer, but our room was not worth what they charged for it.

I had a lovely evening at the Paddler's Rest. With a classic motel ambience, I was kindly greeted by a quaint note when I arrived. The views out my window were lovely, and the room was toasty on dreary spring morning. They're conveniently located close to everything from the NPT to the NFCT, making it a great destination for hikers and paddlers alike. If you love a small town motel feel with waterfront accommodations, this is the place for you!

I stayed at Paddler's Rest this weekend for the eclipse. Taylor is super friendly with great recommendations and knowledge about the area, and it was a pleasure chatting with him. The rooms are clean and well-equipped for a weekend hiker or family, with a microwave and fridge. Huge bonus is onsite laundry! The private beach has a gorgeous view looking at the full expanse of Long Lake. A rare feature of the Adirondacks is well-spaced parking spaces for easy gear loading/unloading. I'd be lucky to stay here again!

We had a great stay here, would recommend! The motel and cabins are family owned and the family who runs it is super friendly. There are complimentary kayak/canoes and firepits (with firewood and lighters supplied), which we didn't get a chance to use but would love to come back and try next time. The property is right along the lake and it's beautiful.

Our family stayed in two rooms in the hotel section of this property. Rooms were very clean, comfortable beds, and had view of the lake.|Check in was a breeze with welcoming and friendly host.|Beach area of the lake has plenty of Adirondack chairs and chair lounges to allow for hours of relaxation in front of the lake.|We also used the firepits by the lake , wood, kindling, lighter were all provided.|Location is ideal-on long lake within a few minutes to town/restaurants.|Highly recommend!
