Pacific View Inn

Nice clean rooms, great hot shower, fairly comfy bed. Only not great aspects were parking instructions weren’t really clear and platform bed is close to bathroom entrance so you need to be careful not to ding your shins on it; we tucked the spare pillows over the edge of the corner. Beautiful location on pacific beach and 5 star sunset view! We’d stay again now that we know how the parking works.

The room stated partial view but in fact had no view. The room was very dark and the tiny windows did not help. I thought the morning shift front desk person was a bit bitter about her job. The location was perfect. We stayed 4 days /3 nights and was able to see most of the surrounding area by foot. Parking was easy we did not pay to park because there were free parking nearby. Just be careful of signs for street sweeping and no parking certain hours. But there are free 24hour parking around. And the free wifi just didn’t work for us the entire stay.

Would definitely recommend this place for the price. We got one of the rooms with the partial view. We were on the 2nd floor bonus is, they have a bistro set on the balcony. So you could sit there and watch the sunset. Rooms were clean, and up to date. Although they do have parking on the street, I personally would recommend just paying the nightly fee. It was such a convenience to stay right there at the hotel. We will definitely be back.

We love the Catamaran, but not for the price. The Beach Cottages are charming, but not nearly as incredible as this hotel — and their staff. A HUGE thanks to Jose. Our sray has been beyond perfect, and we are so sad to leave to head to Carlsbad. From the fire pit last night to the board games to the incredible location, and again the most perfect staff in the world and perfectly renovated + the coffee maker. Everything you can imagine needing, like a perfect be, this hotel delivers. Don’t even think about anywhere else.

Rooms are small but nice. Great location for a good price. Service and everyone there is wonderful and they have boogie boards and chairs and other stuff you can borrow for the beach. On-site parking is $50/day but highly recommend it as parking is challenging elsewhere and you get a front row spot. Make sure to book parking in advance if you want a spot as they only have 4 dedicated parking spots for guests.
