Oscoda Lakeside Hotel

I had a wonderful experience during my stay last month I visited with my son who has difficulty walking, and the employee went above and beyond to help us. The housekeeper was especially kind he helped me take my son out of the car and carried all his bags to our room.The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and smelled great. It truly made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team for your excellent service. Keep it up! 🙏💛

I arrived later in the evening for Pirates and Mermaid Fest and was at first given a room that looked like a crime scene had happened. Both beds had no mattresses, only box springs. The dresser was pulled away from the wall as was the tv. There was trash all over the floor and a wheel chair in the bathroom. I went back to the front desk and was told that it was a storage room and the lady apologized. She gave me a new room. The next morning I woke up and opened the curtains and there was dried blood smeared on it. We were going into town for the entire day at the festival so I asked the front desk to replace the curtains or clean them due to the blood. They said they would tell house keeping. Very skimpy service. Not enough care given to the appearance of the room. Curtains not hung properly on the rods, mirrors and TV swiped smearing dirty goo on the surfaces. No coffeemaker. I thought those things were standard? No housekeeping. For longer staying guests we should expect that. No place to put our belongings. Sink with no counter space. Very small room.

This place is an absolute joke. We went for my grandsons birthday. My daughter wanted to rent the small conference room to do cake and have him open presents. Because she had "decorations" a small banner and one tablecloth, she wasn't able to use the room. We went into the pool area that was filthy, black mold all over, literal moss growing on a spot on the floor, dead bugs all over the window sills. Filthy! So it was 10 dollars per person to swim which was fine, but they still wanted to charge her for "renting the pool area". She hung the small banner up and covered one table with the tablecloth. I went to the front desk to ask why she was still being charged the 50 plus 10 per person. The girl said because you are using the pool area. Ok so everyone that comes here for open swim is gonna
