Barefoot Beach Resort

The location was amazing and close by everything I needed. The location wasn't crowded. The people were quiet and friendly. The host was amazing and always checking in to see if I needed anything. I would definitely book with them again! Very accommodating! If you are someone that can't sleep with noise don't book cabin 1 since it's right by the parking lot/close to the road. You will hear all of the traffic going by. I wasn't bothered, but a tip for those that can't do noise when they go to sleep.

I stayed in Cabin 5 for a winter weekend and it was exactly what I needed. The cabin is right on the lake, and the view from the big front windows was incredible—especially with all the snow and ice.||||The cabin was super spacious and felt freshly updated. The new bathroom was really nice, and the mattress was super comfy. It was clear renovations were still happening around the property, but it didn’t bother us at all. In fact, it was kind of cool to see everything being improved.||||If you're looking for a cozy winter spot with tons of lakefront charm, this place hits the mark. Can't wait to come back when it’s all finished!

After traveling 3 hours, we arrived to find there was no heat and up top of that the furnace wasn't working. After reaching out to management the best they could do was give us a space heater and move us in the morning to a different unit. Only having a space heater didnt help as it made our room too hot and left the rest of the house cold. We weee also not able to shower. Since the new unit wasn't ready until almost noon. We had to pack our car since we wanted to explore the area. Upon getting back the code on the new unit didn't work and we only got in due to the cleaning lady being there. Even after we got in the new code still didnt work meaning when we went to dinner we weren't able to lock the door. Management only refunded us $50, saying that was fair. We felt that wasn't

We loved our stay at Barefoot Beach. The beach is amazing and there are so many fun amenities on the property. It's the perfect getaway for families or groups of friends. Our cottage was spacious with 2 bedrooms and 4 beds. Our family of 5 slept comfortably in it. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend staying here if you're in the Oscoda area.

We had the best time at Barefoot for our two night stay. Could the location be any better? Just feet from the beach we spent most of our time in the water but we also explored Lumberman Monument and Tawas! There was no AC which wasn’t a problem with the lake breeze and they had fans in each room. We packed our own too for just in case but didn’t end up needing them.
