Oriental Marina & Inn

I have been bringing my family for 20 plus years to oriental marina. I love it. I've seen every room. Winter, summer, spring, fall. Oriental is an NC gem and Tom and Marina staff are the reasons. Whether fishing, hunting, birding, fossiling, etc oriental puts you near it. Super fun place even in a hurricane (its dark, you got candles and bourbon) your fine. My safe harbor. This is NC Hallowed ground

I am giving it 5 stars. The "rooms" are really two story suites with balconies. It is really more like renting an apartment for a night, and not just a hotel room. There is a sitting room and kitchen on the first floor. Our suite was comfortable with a bathroom and shower downstairs and a King bed and bathroom without a shower upstairs. The interiors are not state of the art, but a little retro. They are however very comfortable.||The location is the heart of Oriental with docks, a pool, and a Tiki bar right outside your room. The Bean is a great Oriental morning coffee hangout and is just a few feet away. I would highly recommend the Oriental Harbor Inn.

We docked here overnight on our motor yacht while traveling South. You couldn't ask for a friendlier Dockmaster in Tom! He and his assistant were both so helpful when we docked and provided all kinds of information about the area. I took some stunning sunset photos. We walked across the street to the coffee shop and sitting there having coffee and a pastry was like being on a movie set. So quaint! We ate at a restaurant around the corner (M & Ms) which was also delicious. Such a nice little town to visit!

We took our new weekending boat out for the first overnight stay at a marina and came to Oriental Marina & Inn from New Bern. Joe met us at our slip and helped us tie up (for the first time in a wet slip) and gave my wife a very patient lesson on lassoing pilings. He taught us how to set our lines and plug in to shore power. This was 2PM in a heat wave with temps around 100 and feel like temp at 115! I couldn’t have imagined a better first time in a marina! Thank you, Joe! The marina has bathrooms and showers in their office. They provide a code to access after hours. The pool is great. Haven’t done anything else yet, but I’m sure we will enjoy the tiki bar and restaurant tonight! We will be back! - Core Memories

Marina review Family run well kept small marina and inn. Fixed docks in a protected cove. 2 toilets and a shower in the women's room. They provide towels and sample size shampoo and soap, which is nice. The pool is great on hot days. And the Tiki Bar opens at 4 every day. Nice to sit and chat with loopers and locals. Some small shops along the main road. Piggly Wiggly will pick up and deliver you to the store for shopping. $60 minimum purchase. Really enjoyed our stay.
