Orbit In Hotel

My visit was january 2026. Small (~12) group of cabanas, each one unique. Very retro (50's-60's) building and furnishings. Each room has a phonograph, and the manager's office has a large collection of retro LPs, Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Alan Sherman, etc. Our host, scott, mixed up a large batch of martinis every day at 430 poolside. There is also a small 5 person jacuzzi, bicycles, board games, free parking. Downtown is a short 2 block stroll. The pool area has a great view of the mountains. The rooms are clean, but a little worn. My room had a private outdoor patio with lounge, chair and table.

We booked the Rat Pack room, and it was perfect, right down to the mid-century furnishings (Heywood Wakefield end tables, George Nelson bench, Bertoia chairs). The bathrooms are snug, but very 50s, just like my parents' 1956 house (all pink!). Record player and vintage records are provided. The kitchenette was convenient, but could have used a microwave. (There is one in the pool/bar area. ) The pool is nice, and complimentary cocktails and popcorn are served every late afternoon. My husband enjoyed the Orbitinis! The staff is super-friendly, and created a warm, engaging atmosphere for those who are interested. Only one complaint: The TV does not have traditional network & cable stations, but found a lot of vintage SNL and David Letterman shorts : )

An absolute gem. Wonderful location and vibe. As others have said the in-keeper, Brian, is the perfect host. He has the right temperament at the nightly cocktail gatherings. Nice to meet other hotel guests and compare notes on your daily travels. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely MCM gem. The colorful vibe, music, cocktails, and location are top-notch. Very comfortable accommodations and fun atmosphere. Easy to walk downtown for shopping and restaurants.
