Orange Lake Resort West Village Security Gate

We have stayed here for the last 4 years over Christmas. We have a 14 yr old daughter. Everything from service to the amenities are amazing. Our villa has always been super clean. We love the 2 mini golf courses as well as the lazy river and all activities around it. Krystal at the front desk this time was without a doubt, the most helpful, knowledgeable, friendliest person we've ever had the pleasure of dealing with on any of our trips. As a family from Canada who travels a lot, Orange Lake always gives us a reason to keep coming back.

My family has stayed here numerous times over the years. This is an excellent resort to Stage from while visiting Universal or Disney world. Check in is seamless and the desk staff are always friendly and professional. Many of the residences have been newly refurbished. The golf courses are in great shape with reasonable rates. Also relatively easy to get on to. They have very good Pro Shops as well. The pools are nice and big with plenty of seating, bars, and cabanas. Eating options are limited, with 1 main restaurant and a poolside italian place (not eat in) - but just a couple miles outside of the gate are numerous options including First Watch, and a host of chain restaurants. There are a Target, Walmart and a Publix Supermarket for shopping.

Beautiful Resort! We have been coming here for almost 30 years. Always a great time. The rooms are always clean. The pools and restaurants are great for the whole family. Perfectly located from the Orlando airport and Disney.

Read this before signing anything. The resorts are fine. The sales and financing are not. I was led to believe I was signing up for around $10k–$11k, only to later realize that due to very high interest, the real cost over time is closer to $30k. That is NOT made clear in plain language during the presentation. The entire pitch focuses on monthly payments and urgency, not the total amount you’ll actually pay. After a year, I was then pressured to upgrade, being told that would “fix” the problem. It doesn’t — it just adds more debt. This may be legal, but it feels deeply misleading and predatory. If you’re in a presentation right now: don’t sign. Take the contract home and calculate the TOTAL cost. If this review saved you from signing, please reply and say so.

Absolutely amazing resort, was recommended by a Virgin Representative and we booked and it is one of the best places we have stayed in Orlando. It was so close to Walt Disney World which was amazing for us and we have never been so close to the parks before. If we stay here again we would definitely have a few days at the resort as there was so much to do here. Would definitely recommend this resort to anyone.
