Had an amazing trip up. 4 wheel drive is pretty necessary. good campsites and great fishing. Just don't get too hammered off rum and wander into someone else's camp and you'll have a blast
Great fishing between Onion, Knott, and Blue Lakes (the prettiest of them). Better have a 4x4, don't trespass the ranchers, and if you take a camper make sure it's got flipped axles and lots of clearance. You can find places to camp back away from the 'campground' between Onion and Knott Crick where it's not as buggy. Totally worth the trip but you're in BFE so have plenty of supplies and either Starlink or a decent 2-way CB in case of emergency.
