I would not recommend the Old Stone Inn. It’s very dark and there are lamps with cords lighting the hallways. The heater in the room was very loud which was annoying for overnight. The pillows must have been purchased at a Lamaze store and they were so big I ended up bunching up clothes and using them as a pillow because my neck would have been aching come morning. There is no fridge so we put drinks on our balcony to keep them cold. The tv is ANCIENT and all you can find is French or Seinfeld reruns. Finally I went downstairs to find a bottle of cheap water and the vending machine didn’t work. The over priced boutique sold me a tiny bottle of still water for EIGHT DOLLARS. Also don’t be deceived by the cheap hotel prices. It cost me 90$ to park there two nights. Will not be back.
I would like to share my feedback regarding the current night auditor. Unfortunately, my recent experience was not satisfactory. The night auditor who is currently working was unprofessional and did not provide the level of service I expected. In contrast, Arya, who previously worked as a night auditor, was extremely professional, helpful, and respectful. He assisted me a lot during my stay in September, and his service was always excellent. Yesterday night, I visited the hotel because one of my friends is staying there, and I was very disappointed with the behavior of the current night auditor. It made me truly miss Arya’s professionalism and positive attitude. I kindly suggest that management review the performance of the current night auditor and consider making improvements. If possi
4 of us had dinner there on 26th October. The service was shocking. We waited over 1/2 hr for our drinks, after asking what was going on they said the key to the cellar was missing. Calamari entree was over cooked and far too salty. The soup was good, but the mussels very bland. They overcharged us on the bill which we picked up on. Not impressed, will not be returning. A lovely building, large premises but not many customers, maybe there is a reason for that..
My wife and I stayed here for a two-night getaway over Boxing Day 2025. We usually find our hotel options limited in Niagara Falls because we travel with our 15‑year‑old Jack Russell, but this property is truly dog‑friendly as long as you register your pet at check‑in. The only place dogs aren’t allowed is in the main restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very friendly staff. The hotel has so much charm and was beautifully decorated for the holidays, both inside and out. There is a speakeasy downstairs with a beautiful old wood fireplace as well as larger Wood fireplace in the main restaurant that really adds to the atmosphere Our room was very clean ,spacious and cozy. The pool area was well kept, and the water was a nice cool temperature if you enjoy a refreshing s
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. It is an absolutely stunning hotel. As locals we make our way around trying new places every year and this one didn’t disappoint. We told them at booking it was our anniversary and what a beautiful surprise to walk into rose pedals on our bed and a beautiful little note. This time of year the hotel was slower which made it feel all the more special for us. The staff is courteous and eager to help any needs you have. The room was a standard historic with a king bed and fireplace, VERY clean. I wish the little balcony doors opened to let in fresh air, but being a local we understand why they don’t. Great service, Great Stay. Thanks for everything Goldie and Kayton Leslie
