We really enjoyed our stay at KOA Okeechobee. The campground is well organized, welcoming, and offers a great overall experience for anyone looking for an active and relaxing stay. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was friendly and laid-back, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. One of the highlights of this KOA is the variety of activities available. There is always something to do, whether it’s enjoying the pool, participating in organized events, or simply relaxing in the common areas. It’s a great place for both short visits and longer stays, as the activities help create a fun and social environment. The nearby golf course is a 9-hole course and is decent for a casual round. While it’s not a championship-level course, it’s convenient and enjoyable if you’re loo

I was looking for a quiet relaxing place for my yearly vacation…Well this place was great… We rented one of their modern cabins “home away from home” and it was perfect. It sweet and romantic but rustic and outdoorsy like the title says “Hidden Surprise”

First of all, the sites are literally on top of one another. We had to get the neighbor next door and across the street to move their trucks when we left. That's how cramped it is. My pictures don't even begin to do it justice. They advertise that they have WIFI which is the furthest thing from the truth. We had no TV for 2 days because their cable wasn't working either. The WIFI is advertised with a $ sign which we were more than willing to pay for. Not available, towers down, yet you could clearly see the signal strength on the TV showing excellent. Makes no sense. Last but not least, the area around this campground leaves a lot to be desired. *First KOA that did not guide you to your site. Unheard of.

I cannot recommend this place to anyone with one ounce of self respect. Outdated and very dirty gym. Hundreds of dogs shitting and pissing everywhere, piles of shit left all over. Canadians love this place. Moldy bathhouse. Speeding cars and golf carts with very loose drinking and driving policies. Overflowing dumpsters. And the non english speaking landscape company(Nunez) will destroy your water and sewer hoses, there is no regard for personal belongings, so beware. Management and staff alike give lip service to the complaints but nothing ever gets rectified, ever. Small overcrowded sites. The rules are not enforced so do as you please. This is a sad display of the KOA namesake. The socio-economic situation of Okeechobee itself left our safety to be questioned on multiple occasions. Full

Sites are very narrow. Fire pit was located so close to the RV that we couldn't use. The site was vacant beside us but it was like being camped beside a road, cars, motorcycles, golf carts and people use it as short cut instead of using the street. WiFi did not work unless you upgraded and paid the fee. For the price of their sites it should be included. Cable TV very bad. Only got half the channels listed and they were fading in and out. Friendly staff, clean facilities and Swampy's were good. Check the photo I've posted of the fire pit. You have to wonder what genius designed this. # feet from our RV and under the canopy ????????
