My daughter and I just returned from a delightful glamping weekend at Timberline in Kissimmee Prairie Preserve! If you’ve been thinking about giving glamping a try, I assure you won’t be disappointed! The tent was spotless, and the beds were beyond comfortable!! They were heavenly!! Beautiful ambiance!! The star gazing is what drew us to pick this place as it’s a designated dark sky area. While we were a couple of weeks too early for The Milky Way, the night skies still were so awesome!! We were truly in the middle of nowhere, Florida! The bathhouse was very clean (normal bugs at night as they are drawn to light) and excellent showers! We hiked the Prairie Loop Trail which was a great trail…we just happened to pick a very unseasonably warm weekend and nearly melted the last 2 miles. Take t
We really enjoyed our first experience glamping. Kissimmee Prairie Preserve is a beautiful park and the stars visible on our second night were beautiful! We initially arrived after the park closed so we had to use a code to get in the gate. From there we were able to follow the signs and find our cabin location. Our cabin appeared newly built and appeared unused prior to our arrival. The floor appeared unfinished but didn't cause us any problems during our visit. The beds were comfortable and the space heater was also great to have with the cold weather at night. We noticed there was no air conditioning unit but we didn't need it because it was nice and cool during our visit. My kids loved that hammocks were included with our stay and also enjoyed the brain teasers that were in our room
This was our first time Glam Camping. We have nothing but good things to say about this awesome experience. The Room was so cute and cozy. They really went the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The details from the decor to the little defuser oil that smelled amazing! It was my husband’s bday so I paid the extra $16 to add a happy birthday banner sign, but I didn’t expect the little square sign with his name on it. I am a disabled individual and having the option to add a ramp onto the cabin was a plus. My only complaint would be that the two front bathrooms didn’t have hot water, only the back two did. I also, suggest to add a little microwave. Other than that everything was perfect. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy weekend and it rained so we couldn’t see the planets with our own te
Stayed one night for glamping adventure. To give context we live within the boundaries of a city. So in Okeechobee at a state park and glamping, was an adventure for us. The tent ended up being pretty cozy in early morning but would be hot and stuffy if visiting during summer months. The park it self was limited to hiking biking birding. But otherwise no picnic areas or pavilions. Bare minimum restrooms and we never did figure out how to get the hot water going. But for one night overall it was just enough to get out in the wilderness and see lots of wildlife. We saw: Alligators, snakes, turkey, rabbits, vultures, other birds, squirrels, spiders, a toad, various other insects, and one deer 🦌. With the majority of the animals being vultures. The stars at night was worth the trip and the mon
Timberline Glamping at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve was a wonderful experience. The tent was very clean and well set up, the bed was quite comfortable, and the heating unit was greatly appreciated for the chilly nights. The Prairie is magnificent and the sunsets were spectacular! This was truly a memorable vacation and, if we are in this area again, would definitely book a glamping tent with Timberline!
