Dinner at The Rooftop at Grounded at Ocean Lodge Resort wasn’t just a great meal — it was an experience that genuinely blew me away. As a chef, I don’t say that lightly. We started with appetizers, and the special featuring roasted bone marrow with collard green pesto and a fig glaze set the tone immediately. Rich, balanced, and thoughtful — indulgent without being heavy. It was one of those bites that makes you pause mid-conversation. Even the bread service had us talking. My kids were wide-eyed when they realized the garlic butter was served as an edible candle. Clever? Yes. Tasty? Also yes. It was delicious and memorable. The entrées were just as strong. Very disappointed. There is no customer service at this "resort" - no front desk, no guest services, nobody to help with luggage, check-in, any needs such as beach chairs, towels, bicycles. There is no maid service. We stayed 4 nights and asked 2 different days for clean towels but never got them. They don't empty trash. Our room was very dirty. The bottoms of our feet were black from the dirty floors. This could be a nice place if they did some repairs and updates. There are no amenities like a pool, etc. The rooftop restaurant is the only place you will get ocean views. The restaurant is very nice, food was great, and service was great.

Our stay at Ocean Lodge Resort was truly unforgettable, and the dining experience at The Rooftop at Grounded made it even more special. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt peaceful and welcoming. The rooms were immaculate and beautifully appointed, with plenty of space for our family to relax comfortably. The views alone are worth the trip — being so close to the ocean and watching the light change throughout the day was such a gift. Everything about the property feels thoughtfully maintained and intentionally designed. One of the highlights of our stay was dinner at the rooftop restaurant. This place was magical! It felt like we were in a different country. It was beautiful, clean, super spacious, and there was the largest patio area! The beach was just steps away. It is within a close vicinity to multiple places to walk around. Even though it rained the entire weekend, we had such a great weekend. Beautiful resort, beautiful island! *The $300 security deposit threw us off, but it was quickly given back after we left. Thank you so much! Hopefully we can go back soon. It was the perfect stay for our adult getaway to see Christmas things and spend time together.

We stayed at Ocean Lodge at a discounted rate to learn about the timeshare opportunity. The location is great and the balcony views are beautiful. Terrance was very nice, but that’s where the positives end. The property looks like a dark Tuscan villa that hasn’t been maintained. The floors were filthy, several lights were out, and the room wasn’t very clean. The “continental breakfast” doesn’t exist, and there’s no housekeeping. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work, the dishwasher doesn’t clean dishes, and the walls need paint. If the owners invested in updates, this could be a real gem — but as it is now, I wouldn’t stay here again.
