Ocean Inn & Suites

When we arrived, we could not locate the lobby. It was poorly marked behind a small convenience store. The lobby was small and cramped with only room for two chairs and an ice machine When we got into we looked around. |The place had been recently painted, but they painted over damaged walls. The bathtub looked dirty, but it had been refinished sometime in the past was worn off and rough.|There was epoxy around the drain where they apparently tried to fix a leak. The sheets were clean and no signs of bedbugs. |The tv did not work. Immediately went to the front desk. The desk clerk came to the room and looked at the TV, said it was ok. 5 minutes later not working again. He said a maintenance guy would be there in an hour or two. My disabled mother in law and my daughter got a room here last night it was an absolute terrible experience to say the least! The keys were accidentally left in the room and they could not reach any employees or front desk at all. They ended up having to sleep in the car all night in the parking lot! When asked for a refund the employees refused to refund any money. Absolutely no help from staff or employees.

Rooms were relatively clean but definitely need a bit of work. The owners were nice and the price was good. A few wall outlets did not work. I have them 3 stars as I could tell they are working hard on issues and are trying to improve.

I'm not super picky but this was hands-down the worst place I've ever stayed. After visiting a friend in Aberdeen, I reserved a room there, hoping to work a few hours on my laptop and get some sleep before driving to Seattle the next day. It's a noisy location (next to a highway and railroad), and the shared kitchen was positively revolting, but it was the aroma that drove me away. Even with the windows open, fan going, and a beeswax travel candle, the pesticide odor was eye-biting. I could not reach anyone at the office or through the third party (Booking.com) to request a different room. I decamped for Denny's, where the waiter said they hear a lot of complaints about the hotel. Consider yourself warned!

My reviews are bias because I’m a professional carpenter and restoration manager. But I base it off of one thing. QUALITY. First of it took me over half an hr to get into my room, the room they booked me for wouldn’t open. The front desk area smelled terrible like body odor! There was so many flaws and blatant disregard for higher quality of appearance it was wild. 3.5/10 for the front office. Couldn’t find it, it stunk and I could barely understand the person checking me in. Secondly, when we did make it into our room the floor was so dirty my socks were black the first day! The water for the shower was barely even consisted warm! We had two towels for two people for three days! There was black mold in many spots!
