Oak Street Inn

I love this place! It is great for a group to stay at. I was there with a group of guys for a ski trip. The hot tub is wonderful after a hard day on the slopes! There are plenty of beds, and they are comfy. The kitchens are nice. It is a place with some history and is decorated accordingly. The owner is very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely go there again.

My son and I stayed at Oak Street In last January for a ski trip. It's a pretty easy drive up to Mt. Bohemia from here, and Calumet provides you civilization with a choice of restaurants, grocieries,and a small department store all in close proximity. We were delighted with the amount of space of the upstairs unit that we rented. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, living room and dining room. Downstairs is a large common area with pool table, televisions, and a wet area with a huge hot tub. Great place to soak and loosen up after a day of skiing. ||Jim, the owner, met up with us and gave us a tour of the place, including all the effort he put into salvage the building to preserve a great peace of history! We stayed at the Oak Street Inn during the annual CopperDog 150 dog sled race. The Inn was the perfect place to stay. With three big bedrooms (2 queens in 2 rooms and 1 queen in the third room) and two bathrooms, there was plenty of room for the family plus a couple of friends). The living area, kitchen and dining area gave us ample space to gather, chat, and enjoy meals together. Downstairs is a community space with hot tub, pool table, TV and tables. We actually hosted a small reception for other friends who were attending the races in the common area, which was great. Jim and Stacey (the proprietors) joined us at the reception. The oak street inn was able to accommodate a large wedding party for the week! Everyone was so impressed! It was beautiful with lots of décor from the area, it felt like you were at a family cottage. Except with a pool table and spa! It made the wedding week unforgettable. Stacy and Jim were amazing! The rooms were huge, it was like a maze, clean and cute. The area is gorgeous, walking distance to local bars and restaurants . Close to beaches, copper harbor, Houghton and Hancock.

My wife and I have been planning a trip with friends up to Copper Country for the past 5 years. ||We found this place 4 years ago and return every winter. The owner works hard every year to make improvements to the building. This year it looked like he added a pool table, flat screen tv, and stereo to the general area as well as internet access and other improvements to the rooms. We have had groups of 8-12 come every year and always have plenty of room. While not in our room, we enjoy the spacious general room downstairs by either being in the large hot tub or out in the common area playing games. We utilize the kitchenin our room quite a bit to make meals for the group and it has everything you need. Each of the 2 rooms upstairs has 5 queen size beds, 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen,
