Copper Country Cottages

My husband and I stayed here for around 2 weeks from NC and we had the most comfortable and lovely time. We were only here for my husband's contract with the hospital but Jerry made the stay feel less like business and more like home! The area is gorgeous, the owner is responsive and the inside of the cabin felt like we didn't even leave our house in NC. There is even a laundry room attached to the office so no dirty clothes for us! I cannot wait until we can come up here for VACATION and some much needed down time because this is definitely the place to do it!!

The cottage was perfect for a short little stay. Modern decor with a full size refrigerator. My only complaint is that there really wasn't anywhere to put our luggage, the bedroom was a little small for the size of the bed, but we made it work. It was nice to have our own cabin. Nice location, quiet but close to recreation.

We would write a zero star review if we could.. My husband stayed there. The listing was materially inaccurate and the host’s behavior made the stay uncomfortable and unsafe. The kitchen shown in the listing photos is completely different from the one in the unit we were given, which is misleading and not what we booked. In addition, the host repeatedly harassed him and threatened to remove them from the property after learning he has a service animal. He demanded service-animal “paperwork,” which is not required and is not legal to request. They were respectful guests and simply expected the accommodation to match the listing and to be treated fairly at which point he has requested we pay a $250 fine because of 2 zyn pouches on the patio and not only watched them on camera but uploaded a

Spent 5 nights recently. The cabins are located to easily get to Calumet and is just a few blocks off of US 41. The cabins are clean, comfortable and set up well. Coffee maker is a drip M R Coffee. There are pots, pans, dishes and silverware. Outside you have several chairs, a picnic table and a small grill. Towels The only thing I noticed not included was wine opener.

We had a very pleasurable experience during our stay at the Copper Country Cottages. Management was excellent and very responsive to any requests. The cottages were immaculate and very well organized although the sleeping area is a little cramped with little room for luggage storage. The kitchen and appliances met all our cooking and meal needs. We stayed during December so snow was expected. Jerry plowed regularly and kept our access to parking and the exit to the streets very well maintained. We highly recommend the cottages as a great place to stay in the Calumet/Laurium Michigan area. Keep up the great work.
