Oak Mountain

My husband and I just had our wedding at oak mountain this weekend. Laura and Matt made the wedding process easy and stress free. If you’re looking to find a wedding venue, this is the perfect one. Laura was in constant communication with us making sure we had the best experience for our big day. Her kindness and patience put me at ease throughout the entire day. I knew I could leave all the coordinating up to her and everything turned out perfect! Thank you so much Laura for allowing us to have our dream wedding here at Oak Mountain.

A friend and I went tubing today 2/28/26 and were very disappointed in the condition of the runs. We could only get less then half way down the mountain! We were told that the fresh snow made it soft and slow! Also, one price for everyone - that is so wrong - seniors and young children should not have to pay $24.00 for a 90 minute session. The new ramp that brings you to the top is dangerous for older people - there is no place to hang on! Don't think I will be returning in future winters.

Long drive. Totally worth it. The lodge has snacks the staff is super friendly. The kids commented on the girl at the top of the tubing hill, she was very nice to them. We love sledding in town but nothing beats an hour and a half of not walking up the hill! Fun annual day out!

I've been coming to Oak for many years and always have a great time there. There are excellent trails to learn on as a beginner and they leave more advanced trails ungroomed after they get snow which is also super fun! The drive to the mountain and views of Lake Pleasant are beautiful. Their food is also good and reasonably priced. It's a true independent, family-owned mountain.

My husband and I got married at Oak Mountain back in May. Laura and team were incredible! They were so very accommodating throughout the entire process and did everything they could to make our day so special. Laura was so easy to work with. Due to COVID restrictions and our desire to have an intimate wedding, we were able to have our reception in the restaurant area of the venue. It fit our vision and our group of 27 perfectly! Our summit ceremony was beautiful and was so much fun for all. The food was SO delicious that we can't wait to visit the restaurant again. We couldn't have asked for anything more (even despite Mother Nature). The rain made the day that much more memorable (thank you for blasting the heat to dry & warm us all up in the lodge, Laura!).
