Cedarhurst Motor Lodge

This is a great place to stay! Very clean and it just "feels right" when you stay here. Bob treats you great and he makes you feel like he is glad you are staying. I will stay here again next year when I am here for the 5th Annual Southern Adirondack Hamfest!

Cedarhurst exceeded my expectations. There are not a lot of options in the area, and I expected a run down, dusty/moldy/dirty/used old school motel, but that's not the case. Oh, it's old school for sure, but it's clean, housekeeping is excellent, the bed is comfortable, you have good hot water - everything you need.||The reason for the high review is simply the owner Bob - an old school old timer out of the past, with stories and a very helpful character. He's getting up there on the odometer, so his hearing is a little weak - and he's not always there at the office - "regular" hours are somewhat non-existent, but when you make a reservation he'll explain how you'll get around that should he be out when you arrive. I love staying at Cedar Hurst!! The rooms are really clean, the owner Bob is the best. He is always so accommodating and pleasant and he allows pets, which is a huge plus. I cannot wait to go to back. Speculator NY is my favorite place and always have a great time. Big kudos to Bob for being so awesome 👍

I made reservations over the phone for 7 rooms. I liked Bob from the minute I spoke to him on the phone. After arriving we found the rooms well kept and clean. Yes, this is an old establishment so if you want fancy then don't stay and then complain. It suited us absolutely fine. There were 11 of us that traveled in on bikes. We were able to have a bond fire each night and there are places to eat within a very short walking distance. If this sounds like you then please support Bob. We were all very happy that we did.

We stayed for one night. The owner kind, the area so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are older looking but it was worth the stay for a nice quiet time in the mountains. The room is not modern but it is clean.
