Nordland Motor Lodge

Nice, quiet place off the side of the highway. Just the right distance were the traffic isn't loud. The rooms might look out of date because it's an older motel but most has been refurbished and is in real good condition

We spent a weekend at this motel, using it as a base for travels around central PA. The motel is from 1950, a set of cabins (each of which has two rooms) up on a hill over the highway. It's very simple, and shows its age, but we were satisfied. The motel is a bit complicated to get to from the west, you have to go down the northbound ramp, and then immediately down the westbound ramp. The owners are friendly, and the rate was $55 with tax for 2 people.|||| The rooms are pretty large, but simply furnished. We had two beds, two armchairs, a small round table, an end table and a dresser. Furniture looked like it was from the '80s. The only amenities were an alarm clock and a small TV with cable. Everything was clean, but definitely not sparkling. The walls were painted the original

Beds are hard. Carpet is stained up, bathroom door was hard to close and open, TV needs a major upgrade, and so does there driveway. And as soon as you open your door to the room bugs were all over your face and head.

Unless you are desperate for a place to stay, don't do it ! I should have know that we were in trouble when I found out that if we didn't like the room there would be no refund. I figured, how bad could it be? Right ? Well, the room was $62, it hadn't been updated since 1950 other than adding a window unit (air and heat). The carpet was nasty looking, did not go barefooted. The tub looked so horrible I ran water in the sink and bathed out of the sink. They don't except pets, don't know why, since I was bitten by some of the "pets" that live in the bed. It was at most a $20 room. One night was enough for us. Will sleep in the truck first !

I checked in for ONE night, spent 1/2 hour in room, had to sleep IN MY CAR because room was dirty, bathtub was dirty, window sill had mold, I sleep with c-pac machine, plug in wall sparked twice [ My machine has water in, so could have been electruted]. Told owner at check out next morning- they didn't care --Bugs covered the light in ceiling light--Would NOT refund me - really not a CLLEAN or Healthy place to room
