Neptunes Grotto Old Florida Adventure Retreat

We just spent a few amazing days in two of the homes with Neptune’s Grotto, The Captain’s Quarter and The Chubby Mermaid, and both were fantastic! I’ve stayed in several rentals in the area, and The Chubby Mermaid might be my new favorite. They put so much thought into decorating both homes, and the small details were truly impressive. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests and their experience. Anytime we needed anything, they were quick to respond and incredibly helpful. We visit every year around this time, and I would be more than happy to stay here again next year. The price was more than fair, actually cheaper than a hotel and far nicer. A hotel simply can’t offer the fantastic canal views or the simple joy of watching fish jump right from your porch. Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved staying at Neptune’s, the entire experience was so great.|The room was super comfortable, clean and visually fun. The bed was very|comfortable as were the pillows. Everything I needed was there, and everything|worked as it should have. The location is perfect, it’s just down the road from|the Weeki Wachee state park and mermaid show. It a super short drive to|Pine Island Park beach. Any kind of store or restaurant I needed was within|five miles. I will definitely stay here again.

There are four rooms. The manager could have looked to see that we booked two days back to back and planned for us to be in one room two days. They woke us up from a nap and said we had to get out right now and move to another room. I ask for mercy to let us stay in the room but none was given. I swept the floor. Emptied our trash washed the dishes and stripped the beds. We left in 20 minutes. We didn't want to make extra work to the maid. Happy forth of July weekend to all. God Bless America.

This is a delightful corner of Old Florida charm tucked away at the bend of the river where manatee hang out right outside your room! We stayed in Sirenity and it was so cute. All decorated in mermaid decor even down to the coffee mugs. Jason the owner and his wife thought of everything! All the appliances are retro teal green. There is a mini waffle maker that works great- go to Walmart and buy the pancake mix in a little plastic jug that you just add water and shake! The spa was so comfy after a long day walking along the beach. The room was immaculate (thanks to Allison who also gave us tips on local sights). The bed was super comfy and great heat and AC. Kayaks are free with the room and you can explore all around and see wildlife galore. We will be back.

Love this place! Rooms are great. Stayed in the vintage mermaid. Super cute layout. Very comfortable bed. Seen manatees in the river. Highly recommend!!
