Nakatosh RV Park

As I have traveled across Louisiana I've met nothing but kind generous flexible professional individuals. That changed when I arrived at this RV Park. Even though they advertise that they have restrooms and showers available, there's a sign on the door that says keep out until further notice. When I asked Miss Amy, the manager and, according to her, the only employee, when they would reopen, she said, "as soon as we find out who stole the toilet paper." I'm not 😂 she literally said that. Miss Amy seems to view all of her guests as a single adversary against which she is locked in solitary battle. When I objected to closing the bathrooms and the showers until they discover the toilet paper thief (by reviewing videos, she said) she said that she didn't care. "They" had stolen the heater out

RUN FROM THIS PLACE, DON'T EVEN BOOK IT. TRUST ME. I've been camping and RV'ing for over 50 years with hundreds of nights on the road. This was the first campground ever that I drove in and out within 10 minutes. It made the #1 spot of my 5 worst campgrounds. When I called to check my reservation the day of my planned visit, you had to leave a message. The woman that called me back didn't have a record of the reservation or the money for the 2 nights I paid ahead. Ended up paying a third night to make sure I had a spot. No one at the campground to talk to when we decided to leave. UNEVEN gravel sites, no tables, next to a loud truck stop. Toilets and showers DISGUSTING, beyond that actually.

Small RV Park right off hwy, behind truck stop gas station. Convenient location to visit our friends. Bath house was filthy. Our gravel site was mostly level. Lots of engine noise from trucks. Lots of trees. The RV park itself was basic and and reasonably maintained.

Get the door code to the bathroom when you book. They don't answer the phone or reply to emails on the weekends and leave no information for you. I wouldn't stay again. It was inexpensive though.
