Murphy Motel

Very clean, great price and nice people. I would stay here anytime. I stayed two nights. I like that you can sit outside for morning coffee. No noise and peaceful.

We booked a two nights stay here several weeks before arrival. Visiting family, all we needed was a comfortable bed to spend the night to get sleep after a long day. Well, even though there were a few stains on the bed cover, the linens were clean, Then we sat on the bed. The squeaking and wrenching noises the came from the bed was audible in the bathroom. You couldn't move without waking your bedmate. So, as a result, we did not get a very good nights sleep. Then we had to leave after the first night because of Helene, losing the cost of the 2nd night. But my husband and I agreed that it was worth the loss not to have to sleep on that mattress another night.

The rooms are dirty, and smell. No stars. The family caring for the place are very kind and helpful. But not when the power went out. We didn't hear from them. The location is good. But far from shopping or meals. If you ring the bell you can get hair dryer, or ice. I won't stay again. Lessons on cleaning are necessary.

Lol It's not a holiday inn however, I've never had a problem here. The rooms are clean and looks like the linens are changed out. The price is right for what it is. No amenities to speak of. Quite frankly, I'm a bit of a hotel snob. I like to stay in nice places. I could go on into Murphy and stay in nicer places but this place works just fine for me when I'm working in the area. The people at the front desk are ALWAYS extra nice.

It was extremely clean and the staff was very courteous and it was very comfortable. This was one of the most enjoyable hotel/motels I've ever stayed in. And the owners/staff were so courteous, polite, and family orientated . While I was outside visiting with my son &grandson( who live in Murphy).. the owners son offered my grandson a couple pieces of hard candy.( Wrapped, of course) and was polite enough to play with him for a short while.. thank you for dedication, professionalism, and hospitality.
