Mountain Hi Lodge

Pros: great price, new ceramic tile flooring in room, space heater works well, warm blanket on bed, room appears to be clean for most part, good location in Alpine, AZ that's close to restaurants. Cons: Very outdated amenities. Built-in heater on wall gives less than a minute of heat and shuts itself off. The room's one room lamp has no switch. It's turned off/on by pulling or plugging in cord to wall outlet. If you need bathroom light on during the night, adjacent room's light with microwave also turns on, flooding sleeping area with light (we unscrewed light bulbs in microwave room, problem solved). 3 very old, used, lumpy pillows on king bed, mattress saggy, old, lumpy, very used. Could not request additional pillows, we were told house manager was out of town the second time we calle

Use to like staying here but now that is has new management absolutely won’t be staying again. My family and I stayed at total of 5 days 4 night. Management was no where to be seen the whole visit. We had no clean towels (luckily I packed extra) the rooms were extremely hot and musty. Bathroom light did not work over shower area very dark, bathtub was backing up due to clog in drain. Trash was overflowing through the whole complex in front of rooms and stunk very bad. We did not have access to extra toilet paper or trash bags which had to be purchased. The kitchenette lacked many everyday items! Had to purchase my own sponge to wash dishes. Pans were old and very limited! I just think for staying that many days we should have more access to things that might be needed such as clean towels,

I have stayed at this place about five times over the years. When it was owned by a husband and wife, it was a great place to stay. My understanding now it that it has been sold. It is now run down. On my last trip to Alpine 5/15/2024 no one was in the office. A sign on the door gave a number to call but no one answered the phone. I would highly recommend you go elsewhere.

My second time staying here and I will return. The accommodations are comfortable and the room meets your needs. The most recent stay was in a 1 bedroom kitchenette. It offered a Very comfortable King bed, TV, kitchenette, then a separate room with Two full size beds. I WOULD STAY AGAIN. Price is reasonable.

We spent a month in the motel, just to enjoy one of our favorite places. Mountain Hi didn't disappoint. The room was very clean. We had the kitchenette, which was quite serviceable. The provided utensils, cookware, etc., were more than adequate. Our only real complaint was that the oven didn't work right. For many it wouldn't be a problem, but the missus loves to bake. The service was simply outstanding. We've made new friends here and hope to return many times in the future.
