The Aspen Lodge

We just spent 3 days at the Aspen Lodge over Christmas and had a wonderful time! Joe & Dyan we're terrific hosts! We had 2 suites in the Chalet for the 8 of us. The other rooms were vacant, so the common area, which is shared by all the rooms, was ours to enjoy and we didn't have to worry about being in other people's way. We were hoping the grandkids could sled but unfortunately there was no snow, but Joe brought us a fire ring and wood so we could have a fire. Up at the lodge, we got to play pool, enjoy a roaring fire, our grandson played the piano and we all enjoyed loving on the horses. My only complaint is that there is no sink in the common area, so we were constantly going to the bathroom to fill up the coffee pot to keep the coffee flowing, because in our family, coffee is it's own

We arrived for our Honeymoon and were very welcomed by the Lowey family. Their son kept the beautiful fire place going as Dyan and Joe were getting us ready for a memorable ride. The horse were spectacular and perfect for new riders. We arrived at the site and they had prepared a wonderful lunch and had a table and white linen overlooking the beautiful forest. A fire was made and we enjoyed our new friends. If there was a rating higher I would give it! A perfect and memorable experience and my new wife is already talking about another trip there next year.

Enjoyed our stay. Recently on a motorcycle trip with a cousin, 2 touring bikes / baggers. Very happy with the accommodations. Nice comfortable beds, roof, hot shower & coffee maker. What else could one ask for ? Oh ya, beautiful scenery & nice roads for riding, yaaaa, got that too...191 & 180, BOTH a lot of fun on bikes

Super awesome place. My husband and I along with 3 kids and a dog loved this place so much. We definitely plan on coming back. This is a really great place for families with little ones and pet owners. Definitely felt the western theme. Beds were comfortable, horses were friendly and perfect location.

We had a lovely adventure at Aspen Lodge. We loved the horse ride so much that we booked a second ride the following day. Dyan and Joe are very knowledgeable about the forest and they're wonderful horse wranglers. They matched each horse with their rider. Some riders have never ridden before. Our grandsons are 9 and 11. They fell in love with the horses. We stayed in the bunkhouse. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely with that southwestern touch. We loved the common area and the lodge was very nice. There were movies to borrow and games to use and they also have a pool table. We loved sitting at the campfire at night. We plan to go again this fall.
