Motel Boutique by Wolf Inn

If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to spend the night inside a wolf’s den, this hotel is happy to give you the experience—though unfortunately, it smells less like “majestic wilderness” and more like a 40-year-old ashtray. The staff was genuinely kind (truly the only bright spot—well, besides the single lightbulb in the room), but our “non-smoking” room reeked so badly of cigarettes we were coughing within minutes. The hotel clearly prides itself on a wolf theme, but our room had zero of that theme present. No wolves, no howls, not even a paw print. Just oddly placed furniture that seemed to be in witness protection, one overworked light, and a bathroom featuring holes in the walls and a toilet paper holder with its own rust ecosystem. BEDBUGS, pee on the toilet seats, ants crawling out of a corner, an unwavering stench of mold in the room, and unhelpful staff. DO NOT book a room here! I tried to get a refund on my first night and the staff dodged me. I had to come back another day and only got a partial refund despite staying 0/3 nights in the room.

Motel Boutique by Wolf Inn is a phenomenal hotel for the price. I love the kitschy art displays around the property. It grabs your attention, and had a real sense of whimsy to it. This is an older establishment, so things aren't necessarily "pretty." Some fresh paint wouldn't hurt, but is by no means necessary, because everything is clean and functional. Both rooms I stayed in had a mini fridge and microwave that worked flawlessly, which I really appreciated having been working on the road for the last three months. The staff is very nice, and my experience was incredible. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again and again while I'm in the area.

The room did have a musty smell and was very outdated, but the air conditioning worked great. The room was pretty cute and the staff was very nice. Was definitely a great price, so we were not expecting 5 Star Hotel or anything. Could really use some upgrades and new carpeting for sure. Was a pretty good location, though, right down the road from Kalahari and a lot of other attractions.
