Motel 6 York, NE

Positive: Nothing infested with bed bugs and no cleaning and no clean towels. Had to get everything cleaned for bed bugs. Negative: Bed bugs and not being clean

I have been living there over a month now.. I have stayed here before and the rooms were bad and now they are so much cleaner. The Housekeeper does an awesome job and she makes sure all the customer's are taken care of if in need!! The motel itself looks alot better than what it use to be. It looks alot cleaner!! The housekeeper that works there now works hard and is very friendly!! I will rent there again!!

Do not stay here. Officer advised against it. Thin walls & we had an alcoholic staying next to us. He reported us to law enforcement for being loud when we were just talking. The guy pounded extremely hard on our door 2x, & it was really loud. Management even came to my door & I explained to him that I was in bed & my friend had just gotten in the shower. She got out real quick because she could hear the guy pounding on our door from the bathroom. I have a Criminal Justice degree & I have never experienced anything like this. This Motel 6 needs to be remodeled or shut down. Very scary night. Plus, no microwave in the room & the ice machine is still down.

Close it! Fix it! Or rename it. Suggestion re the latter: The Hellhole Formerly Known as Motel 6. Came into dark lobby 6:30p.m. Finally, a guy came to the desk and turned on the lights. I did get a ground floor room that I had requested. Too many Out of Order signs to count....including on exterior doors. NO ice in building. All doors open into interior hallway. No sense of security re successful use of room key on ancillary exterior doors. But wait! There's more! Get to the room: there is a bed; and a short frig; and that's ALL! No chair, no desk/shelf for suitcase; no bedside stand. NOTHING. |(but there was a handicap shower chair in bathroom that I could put up against the room door for added security/noise if breached). Had to go to lobby to use microwave. Everything dingy. Wall-

The front desk ladies were polite and prompt. Vehicle access was easy and convenient being near the interstate with a large parking lot. The room had no carpet, no shampoo was provided, the door didn’t have a secondary lock and the exterior window didn’t shut or even have a lock- on the ground floor. Cost was low but probably should have been lower considering amenities.
