Days Inn by Wyndham York

Positive: Bed was comfortable Negative: Everything was bare minimum. Breakfast was pathetic. Pool was too cold to even go in. Everything seemed dirty.

I am simply disgusted with the way I was treated by their so-called staff and what I experienced at days inn by Wyndham york. 1. There were ants and other bugs in the bathroom and the room I was in. 2. beds were old and worn out to the point that I could hardly sleep - huge sack-holes that my back was sore. I am 46 years old and I do have ongoing back problems. 3. the furniture ie: both beds, desk chair broken, some fixture lights also broken/light bulbs burned out. 4. THE MOST IMPORTANT - SINCE ABOUT MIDNIGHT THERE WAS A FIGHT BETWEEN A MALE AND FEMALE - THIS HAPPENED IN THE NEXT DOOR ROOM, HALLWAY, OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL. BANGING & KICKING ON THE WALLS, DOORS, CURSING, SHOUTING AND MORE... - AROUND 2:30 AM I CALLED THE FRONT DESK TWICE FOR ASSISTANCE AND HELP, BUT NO ANSWER. - AROUND 3:30

The room was clean and nice. The front dest man was very friendly and helpful. BUT. The lights are all together, you if turn one off they all are off. Ony one lamp works separately and it's across the room, not by the bed. The TV remote only kinda works.

I would rate this hotel 0 out of 5 if I could. My husband and I were traveling and stopped here late evening after a long day of driving. We were just getting ready for bed, moved the refrigerator to access the outlet to plug in a fan, when roaches came running out from under the refrigerator. We went to the front desk to explain that we were leaving and wanted a refund. The desk clerk offered to give us another room, but we explained that after seeing roaches, we could not sleep there. He stated that we would be charged a $25 cleaning fee because we were in the room for about 2 hours. We stated that we just saw the roaches, but he stated we would have to speak with the manger in the daytime. My husband called the manager and he refused to refund the $25. It’s not about the money -

UPDATE: ALL OF MY ATTEMPTS TO HAVE THIS CONCERN ADDRESSED HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY IGNORED. The manager did respond to the negative feedback from my customer service survey by repeating my complaints back to me and saying he hoped I’d change my mind. I just want my money back, not a summary of my own complaints. I was traveling from Indiana due to the sudden death of my mother, had been on the road for 14+ hours, chose this hotel due to advertised price and decent online reviews, had an absolutely terrible experience and will NOT be returning to this chain in the future- Issues include: -on site staff refused to match online advertised price so I went to the car and called the 1800 number to make a reservation and was quoted a higher price than when I walked in.
