Motel 6 Wilkes Barre, PA - Arena

I stayed at this motel February 20th and originally had the room scheduled until the 22nd but the person that was with me had to leave the 21st so I checked out that evening where to begin rooms are definitely small no tub in my room upon asking for a room with a tub owner and yes owner is the manager as well so good luck getting anywhere with complaints I already posted on Facebook as well on someone elses motel 6 experience so I hope these are enjoyable I made a complaint because upon arrival yes I did arrive several hours early which I was told originally could not sit in a lobby which I will be respectful enough to say they did let me sit in the lobby because I had to bring an Uber but then told me that they don't usually let guests stay that bring a lot of luggage because of how small

Positive: Forget what you thought about Motel 6 properties. This was a contemporary, minimalist, easy-to-clean design. No pet fee probably because of that. Bedding was comfortable. Temperature control was good. Plenty of parking. Excellent location. Negative: Sheet cleanliness was questionable. TV location limited viewing without blocking passage.

This is the cleanest Motel 6 that I have ever stayed at. It's a bed and a shower and it gets the job done. We're traveling with a dog so bonus points for it being pet friendly as well. We arrived right before midnight and the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. They also have lobby coffee.

I am generally hesitant to stay at budget motels, but we were traveling with a large dog with limited our options. We were pleasantly surprised with our rooms. The rooms were smaller than a standard hotel room but fine for an overnight, especially considering the price. Room showed a bit of wear but honestly not more than most midrange hotels (such as Hyatt Place). The staff member we interacted it with was friendly and welcoming. If you are traveling and looking for an inexpensive place to stop for a night this is an excellent option, especially if you are traveling with a pet.

I stayed here for one night during a road trip and it was a very good budget choice. The woman working the front desk was very friendly and welcoming and I had no issue checking in. The room was small but clean and generally what I was expecting. The location was maybe a little sketchy, but not the worst and it was close by to many other hotels, so that was reassuring. The ice machine was broken, which was annoying. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and if I had to drive through another time I would feel good choosing this location again.
